Vacancy: Research Professor, Sustainable Development & Environmental Justice – University of Antwerp Faculty of Law / Institute for Development Policy (Deadline: 13 January 2019)

The University of Antwerp Faculty of Law and the Institute for Development Policy (IOB) are seeking to fill a full-time vacancy for  a research professor in the area of sustainable development and environmental justice (temporary appointment in tenure track).

The application deadline is 13 January 2019.

The assignment consists of lecturing duties, scientific research and academic service to society. During a period limited to five years, scientific research will be the main activity. The successful candidate will assist in promoting and developing research at the Faculty of Law and the Institute of Development Policy (IOB) in the research lines and research topics proposed by the research groups.

  • In the Law & Development research group at the Faculty of Law, this will be in the area of law and sustainable development, with a particular focus on international environmental law and environmental justice.
  • At the IOB, this will be in the research line Environment & Sustainable Development, on the analysis of the configuration of actors, processes and policies involved in tackling environmental crises and climate change at the interacting global, national and local levels.
