LDRN partner University of Antwerp Law & Development Research Group launches resource page on the duty to cooperate in international law

In light of the UN Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development (EMRTD)’s ongoing study on the duty to cooperate in international law, the University of Antwerp Law & Development Research Group – an LDRN partner institution – has launched a resource page which highlights key documents and recent research on this theme. Prof. Dr. Koen De Feyter, spokesperson of the University of Antwerp Law & Development Research Group and a member of the LDRN steering committee, is one of the five independent experts elected to the EMRTD by the UN Human Rights Council.

Besides links to relevant official documents (including of the EMRTD) and open-access academic publications, the site also includes the following new material and resources on the duty to cooperate in international law:

        • Case studies on the duty to cooperate in the context of foreign investment in mining in Peru (Victor Saco, Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru) and in agriculture in Ethiopia (Tefera Addis, University of Antwerp Law & Development Research Group).
        • Bibliographies on the duty to cooperate (Deborah Casalin & Giulia Contes, University of Antwerp Law & Development Research Group).

The site also includes a link where readers can send their suggestions for further resources to include or highlight.
